Professional Experience:

John Aleli serves as of counsel in the Litigation and Business departments of Montgomery McCracken. Mr. Aleli practices primarily in the areas of complex litigation - both commercial and tort including contractual disputes, employment discrimination and products liability, and public utility law.

Prior to joining Montgomery McCracken, Mr. Aleli served as of counsel with Youngblood Corcoran Lafferty & Hyberg, P.A.  Previously, he was a prosecutor for the City of Brigantine from 1978 to 1990, the City of Absecon from 1980 to 1992, and served as solicitor for the Pleasantville Zoning Board of Adjustment from 1996 to 1998. Mr. Aleli was general counsel for the Atlantic City Sewerage Company from 1994 to 1998.

Mr. Aleli is certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney.

Professional Associations:

Mr. Aleli is a member of the American, New Jersey, and Atlantic County Bar Associations. He is currently a member of the Civil Section and served on the Arbitration Selection Subcommittee from 1985 to 1998 of the Atlantic County Bar Association. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute and an approved arbitrator for Mandatory Arbitration Program.  He is a member of the New Jersey Defense Association and for two years served as vice president of the Southern New Jersey. From 1995 to 2000, Mr. Aleli served as trustee on the Board of the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra.

Admitted to Practice:

Mr. Aleli is admitted to practice in New Jersey, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Education:

Mr. Aleli received a J.D. degree from Temple University School of Law in 1976.  He graduated, with honors, from the University of Delaware with a B.A. degree in 1973.
