Baldo M. Carnecchia, Jr. is partner in Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, LLP's Business Department. Mr. Carnecchia's practice spans 37 years and emphasizes general corporate, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and reorganization and international law.  He is familiar with all phases of corporate representation, including corporate finance, acquisitions and corporate governance.  In addition, Mr. Carnecchia has extensive experience with significant corporate reorganizations and restructuring matters.

Professional Associations:  

Mr. Carnecchia is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys and the International Business Forum.  He is a member of Alpha Chi Sigma, a professional chemistry fraternity, The Harvard Club of Philadelphia and The Union League of Philadelphia.

 

Professional/Community Activities:   

Mr. Carnecchia has served as an adjunct professor at the Villanova University School of Law and as a member of the Corporate Executive Board of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and chair of that board's Technical Advisory Committee. He is president of the board of The William B. Lake Foundation. Mr. Carnecchia has also served as legal advisor for The Wharton School's Wharton/SpencerStuart Directors' Institute, a program focusing on corporate governance and best practices.  He is also a member of ALMA, the Italian LL.M. Association.

Mr. Carnecchia was a contributing member of the board of contributors of The Bankruptcy Strategist, a monthly newsletter for bankruptcy specialists published by an affiliate of the New York Law Journal and The National Law Journal.  He is also a lecturer on corporation law matters for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and a member of the American Association Corporation Secretaries and Governance Professionals.

Education:

Mr. Carnecchia received a B.S. degree from The Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pennsylvania in 1969.  In 1972, he graduated with a J.D. degree, cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law, in Villanova, Pennsylvania.  While in law school, he was a case and comment editor for the Villanova Law Review and Order of the Coif.  Mr. Carnecchia received an LL.M. in International Law from Harvard Law School in 1973.
