Montgomery McCracken partner David H. Marion served as a faculty member in a recent CLE program sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Federal Courts Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association entitled "My First Federal Trial: Perspectives from the Bench and Bar.

Marion spoke on "Opening Statements and Closing Arguments - Know Your Limits." An article he authored entitled "Personal Observations about Opening Statements and Closing Arguments" was published as part of the course book.  Jonathan Boughrum, an associate at Montgomery McCracken, assisted in research for the article.

Others on the faculty included Federal Judges Michael M. Baylson, J. Curtis Joyner, Lawrence F. Stengel, and Petrese B. Tucker. Alyson Oswald of Dechert LLP was the other non-judge attorney on the faculty.

Marion is a former Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association and serves as Chairman of the Bar's Senior Lawyers Professional and Public Service Committee.  He also is  National Chancellor of Tau Epsilon Rho Law Society's.  Marion is widely known for his successful appellate and trial practice, concentrating in business litigation, antitrust, class actions, professional liability and constitutional law.
