Judge Gene D. Cohen (ret.), of counsel to Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, LLP served on Sen. Arlen Specter's Academy Selection Committee.  By special invitation from Sen. Arlen Specter to serve, Cohen and other committee members interviewed applicants seeking Senatorial Nomination to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis and the Air Force Academy.
