PHILADELPHIA, December 10, 2009 - Montgomery McCracken partner Ellen C. Brotman has been selected to serve as the editor of the American Bar Association's new publication entitled Careers in Criminal Justice. The publication will include a collection of informative essays for students and lawyers who are considering careers in the field of criminal justice.
Brotman is a partner in Montgomery McCracken's Litigation Department. Her work, which often involves complex trial, sentencing and appellate issues, concentrates on government investigations and white collar crime and representation of attorneys before the Disciplinary Board of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
Brotman is a frequent lecturer and member of numerous industry associations and committees. In addition to her service as board member of the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, she is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers, and the White Collar Crime Committee of the American Bar Association. Brotman is the co-author of a professional conduct article which appears monthly in The Legal Intelligencer.
