Our firm sees diversity as a broad concept that encompasses race, color, ethnicity, nationality, culture, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, religion, creed, age, physical ability, socio-economic background, as well as family circumstances such as marital status, parental status and household composition.

Among the highest priorities of the attorneys and management of Montgomery McCracken is creating and cultivating an environment at the firm that is conducive to the growth and success of our lawyers and to the highest-possible quality of service to our clients. The firm regards effective mentoring and diversity initiatives, both within the firm and in the legal community at large, as critical components in establishing such an environment.

We are a founding member of the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group, Inc., a joint effort of leading Philadelphia law firms and in-house counsel partnered to promote diversity within the legal industry. This effort includes a mentoring program particularly designed for minority and female lawyers to provide a meaningful work experience and career preparation.

Montgomery McCracken’s Diversity Committee is comprised of partners and associates. The Committee is charged with raising awareness of diversity issues throughout the firm and the community. The commitment to diversity is demonstrated at the top levels of the firm, with the Chairman serving as the chair of the Diversity Committee, which also includes three members of the Management Committee and the firm’s Executive Director.

The firm’s diversity programs and initiatives include diversity training sessions, an interactive book club, movie and live presentations with guest facilitators and speakers. Programs are open to all firm personnel, clients and the community. Our objective is to create an environment that is inclusive and inspires the best work from our lawyers and our staff.
