Erin A. Novak is a partner in Montgomery McCracken’s Litigation Department and Co-Chair of the Consumer Financial Services Practice Group. She focuses her practice on consumer litigation. Erin has been counsel of record in more than three hundred cases involving Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act claims in courts throughout the country. She has obtained favorable decisions for her clients in Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Pennsylvania Fair Credit Extension Uniformity Act and the Pennsylvania Unfair Trade Practices Consumer Protection Law matters.

Prior to joining Montgomery McCracken, Erin was an attorney for a consumer protection litigation firm. She also previously worked at a plaintiff’s personal injury litigation firm, where she handled product liability matters, medical malpractice and crashworthiness actions across New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Erin is certified as a Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Arbitrator and as a Better Business Bureau Arbitrator.

Academic Achievements

Erin received a J.D. degree with a concentration in Litigation from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2005. She was a recipient of the Honors Scholarship and the Frank Turner Award of Excellence. Erin was also on the National Moot Court Team for University of San Diego National Criminal Procedure Tournament and on the National Moot Court Team for National Women’s Law Student Association. Erin earned a B.A. degree in Philosophy from Michigan State University in 2000.
