Fiona Steele is an associate in Montgomery McCracken’s Litigation Department. She focuses her practice on a broad range of complex litigation matters spanning sophisticated commercial disputes, white collar and government investigations, bankruptcy, maritime, and products liability. Fiona also concentrates her practice on Title IX and EEO investigations and advising.
Fiona practices in both federal and state court at the trial and appellate levels. She also has experience with multi-district litigation (MDL) and litigating before the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC). Fiona handles all stages of litigation—from facilitating pre-trial discovery, drafting and arguing motions, through trial.
Prior to joining Montgomery McCracken, Fiona clerked for the Honorable Edward G. Smith of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Fiona also previously served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Joel H. Slomsky of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She also worked as a legal intern for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Office of Disciplinary Counsel of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
Fiona received her J.D., cum laude, from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where she served as an Articles Editor for the Villanova Law Review. She graduated, cum laude, from Bryn Mawr College with an A.B. in Political Science and Philosophy, where she was a member of the Women’s Soccer Team and Women’s Lacrosse Team. Fiona currently holds five individual program records for Bryn Mawr College’s Women’s Lacrosse Team.
