Joshua Runyan is an associate in Montgomery McCracken’s Business Department. He concentrates his practice in counselling small businesses, tax planning for corporate restructurings, representing clients in federal and state tax controversies, employee benefits and estate planning.

Prior to joining Montgomery McCracken, Joshua was a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Anne E. Lazarus in the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. He served as editor-in-chief of Philadelphia’s Jewish Exponent, the Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle, the Baltimore Jewish Times, and the Washington Jewish Week. Joshua is also a commercial pilot and FAA Gold Seal flight instructor.

Academic Achievements

Joshua earned a Business Law Certificate and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Temple University’s James E. Beasley School of Law where he was a Research Editor on the Temple International and Comparative Law Journal, a member of the Rubin Public Interest Law Honor Society, and a recipient of the H. Monica Rasch Memorial Award. He received his B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania. Joshua is an ordained rabbi.
