Laurie A. Krepto concentrates her practice primarily on bankruptcy, insolvency, creditors’ rights matters, and commercial litigation.

Laurie represents creditors, debtors, committees, and trustees in bankruptcy proceedings. Her bankruptcy litigation experience includes, among other things, defending and prosecuting preference and fraudulent transfer actions, automatic stay disputes, equitable subordination claims, non-dischargeability actions, and enforcement of contract rights. She also counsels clients on implementing procedures for mitigating credit risks and on bankruptcy-related issues.

Laurie practices in the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, the Districts of New Jersey and Delaware, as well as other jurisdictions.

  • Volunteer attorney and member of the Board of Directors of the Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project (CBAP) which provides pro bono legal services to low income Philadelphia residents

Academic Achievements

Laurie received a J.D., cum laude, from Temple University School of Law.  While at Temple Law School, Laurie was a member of Temple Law Review and the Moot Court Honor Society and was awarded “Best Brief” for the Polsky Moot Court Competition. Laurie also received Distinguished Class Performance honors and was a member of the Dean’s List. Laurie was also member of the Student Bar Association: Student-Faculty Admissions Committee and the recipient of the American Counsel Association Scholarship.

Laurie received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, cum laude, from Temple University, where she was a member of the Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society, a member of the Dean’s List, and the recipient of two scholarships: Senior Excellence Scholarship and the W.W. Smith Scholarship.

Laurie recently completed a General Music Studies (Business) Certificate at Berklee College of Music Online.
