Miriam H. Straus is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Prior to joining Montgomery McCracken, Miriam was an associate at Kalogredis, Sansweet, Dearden and Burke, Ltd., where she represented health care providers in litigation and transactional matters. She also served as a program analyst in the D.C. Department of Health Care Finance, where she drafted policies for the District of Columbia’s Medicaid expansion and health insurance exchange.

Prior to law school, Miriam was a legislative researcher for Congressional Quarterly, where she tracked legislation, profiled members of Congress, and wrote articles on health care.

Miriam received a J.D. degree cum laude from The George Washington University Law School in 2012. During law school, she participated as a student-attorney in the GW Law Immigration Clinic. She earned her B.A. degree in Political Science from Brown University in 2006.
