Suicide is one of the leading causes of death in the United States. While we have chosen the law as our profession, we must remember that our clients have not necessarily chosen the situation for which they need our services and may be coming to us during one of the most stressful and challenging experiences in their lives. While we are there to provide legal services, if we are aware of the warning signs of suicide, we may be lifesaving.
