SUMMARY:27th Annual This Year in Nonprofit Law
DESCRIPTION:Nonprofit Issues® and the Philadelphia law firm of Montgomery McCracken will present the 27th annual “This Year in Nonprofit Law” on Thursday\, November 30\, 2017. \nWhen philanthropist Gerry Lenfest gave the Philadelphia Inquirer to The Philadelphia Foundation in 2016\, he also set up a new nonprofit organization to help save investigative journalism in America.  The Lenfest Institute for Journalism has been at work for a little more than a year and Jim Friedlich\, its Executive Director and CEO\, will join us to report on the status of journalism in the country and the work of the Institute in seeking to preserve it. \nThe day qualifies for 5 hours of continuing legal education credit\, including an hour of ethics credit for those attending the ethics session\, and 5 hours continuing professional education credit in Pennsylvania.  Lawyers wishing CLE credit in other states will be given a certificate of attendance at a Pennsylvania-approved program.  Credits will be provided at no extra charge. \nParticipants will receive a new or renewed one-year subscription to Nonprofit Issues®\, plus program materials. The registration fee is $165\, but additional registrants from the same organization may attend for $100.
