NEW JERSEY — Montgomery McCracken partner Louis R. Moffa, Jr. will be installed as the 90th President of the Camden County Bar Association on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the Tavistock Country Club. The Camden County Bar Association (CCBA) was chartered in 1881 and has become New Jersey’s second largest country bar. The association is dedicated to improving the administration of justice, advancing the interests of the legal profession and serving the public to promote a better understanding of the law and the justice system.

Lou serves as Montgomery McCracken’s general counsel and is a member of several practice groups including the Commercial Litigation group, the Construction Law group, the Immigration group, and the Employment Counseling and Litigation group. He has more than 30 years of experience and is an accomplished trial and appellate litigator who has handled matters in state and federal courts across the country. His litigation practice includes commercial and construction contracts, civil rights and constitutional torts, business torts, shareholder disputes, employment discrimination and wrongful termination, and immigration.  In addition, Lou has extensive experience in the area of state and local public bidding and contracting.  He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, District of Columbia, and the United States Supreme Court. Prior to his private practice, Lou served for a year as a law clerk to Hon. Howard F. Corcoran, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

He is active in the legal community and has held leadership positions in multiple organizations.  Lou is a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America and a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, District of Columbia Bar Association and Camden County Bar Foundation. He is an adjunct professor at Rutgers School of Law-Camden and at the University of Delaware in the Lerner School of Business and Economics. Lou serves as a trustee and vice chairman of the board for the Camden County College Foundation. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross – Camden County Chapter.

Lou received a J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center in 1982 where he was an editor of Law and Policy in International Business, the Georgetown International Law Journal. He graduated from Georgetown University with a B.S.B.A., magna cum laude, in 1979.
