Montgomery McCracken Names Two Attorneys to Firm Partnership

PHILADELPHIA and CHERRY HILL, N.J–Montgomery McCracken is pleased to announce that it has named attorneys Georgette Castner and K. Carrie Sarhangi to the firm’s partnership. Castner, who is located in the firm’s Cherry Hill, N.J. office, and Sarhangi, of the Philadelphia office, have been associates with the firm for several years.”The firm has benefited from Georgette’s and Carrie’s excellent work for our clients and the firm, and we look forward to their contributions over the years to come,” said Montgomery McCracken Chairman Richard L. Castner focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and white collar and government investigations. She represents corporate entities, government entities and individuals in a range of industries. She also represents both public and private entities in employment matters, construction defect cases, appellate litigation and regulatory compliance matters. Her prior experience includes a clerkship for the Honorable Joseph F. Lisa of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division (Ret.) and a position as Chief of Staff and Director of Constituent Affairs for a member of the New Jersey General Assembly. She also served as a Governor’s Executive Fellow at the Eagleton Institute of Politics. Castner has recently been recognized by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in the area of Civil Litigation in New Jersey. She attended Rutgers University School of Law – Camden and The College of New Jersey.

Sarhangi¬†focuses her practice on white collar and government investigations and complex commercial litigation. She has extensive experience in trying cases, both civil and criminal. Her prosecution background allows her to provide both trial representation and valuable guidance to individuals and corporations who are subjects of government investigations, as well as advising corporate and university clients conducting internal investigations and developing or updating compliance and training programs. She represents clients in matters involving federal, state, and administrative prosecutions and enforcements, as well as parallel civil proceedings.¬† She serves as an editor of the firm’s White Collar Alert blog and is committed to pro bono work through her involvement with the Homeless Advocacy Project and the Eastern District Prisoner Reentry Program. Sarhangi has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in the area of White Collar Defense in Pennsylvania. She attended Syracuse University College of Law and Pennsylvania State University.

The firm also recently promoted attorneys Lisa Zwally Brown, Jennifer E. Canfield and Laurie A. Krepto to Of Counsel. Brown focuses her practice on corporate litigation matters. Canfield focuses on defense of consumer class actions, commercial litigation and appellate litigation. Krepto concentrates her practice in bankruptcy and corporate restructuring, out-of-court workouts and commercial litigation.
