Montgomery McCracken Names Two Attorneys to Partnership

PHILADELPHIA–Montgomery McCracken is pleased to announce that it has named John M. Myers and Jonathan Boughrum to the firm’s partnership. Myers, formerly of counsel, and Boughrum, previously an associate, are both located in the firm’s Philadelphia office.

Myers, chair of the firm’s Higher Education practice, has more than 30 years of experience in the public and private sectors handling complex commercial litigation, including as chief deputy city solicitor, Special Litigation, for the City of Philadelphia. Myers’ experience includes litigating partnership and closely held business claims and disputes, claims involving employment, real estate, lender liability, joint venture issues, securities industry disputes, as well as contract negotiation employment matters and general business counsel. His work with higher education institutions includes tenured faculty issues, intellectual property disputes, general liability counsel, ethics, civil rights and discrimination claims, university and student policies and Title IX and Clery Act compliance. He has been a front-line participant in large, institutional crisis management, both in government and the private sector.

Myers graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and, in 1972, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Boughrum concentrates his practice in the areas of product liability defense, government investigations and business litigation. He handles all phases of civil litigation, provides corporate compliance advice and conducts internal investigations. Boughrum represents companies and individuals in a wide variety of litigation matters and government investigations, and has experience in pharmaceuticals and medical devices, electronic payment transactions, industrial equipment, scientific testing, food product manufacture and distribution, residential and commercial construction, consumer and household products, and sporting goods. In addition to litigating matters in trial courts in Pennsylvania and across the country, he has managed appeals to the Pennsylvania Superior Court, Commonwealth Court and Supreme Court, as well as the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third and Sixth Circuits.

Boughrum received his J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 2003. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2000.
