PHILADELPHIA-Montgomery McCracken partner Catherine Gillespie, chair of the firm’s Higher Education Practice Group, has been appointed to serve on the Ralston Center Board of Managers. The board works to assure that the Ralston Center mission of improving the health and quality of life for older adults in Philadelphia will continue to be achieved.

Gillespie is a partner in Montgomery McCracken’s Business Department and serves as chair of the firm’s Higher Education practice group. Her practice focuses on higher education law, health care and corporate and tax law issues generally affecting nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations. Due to her prior experience as a social worker in the health care field and her legal training, Gillespie understands health care professions and organizations and regularly works with 501(c) (3) health care entities to advise them on board governance and structure, regulatory compliance, licensure issues, contractual arrangements and day-to-day inquiries.
