Montgomery McCracken Partner David Dormont Elected to the Executive Committee of Montgomery County Development Corporation

PHILADELPHIA – Montgomery McCracken is pleased to announce that partner David Dormont was recently elected to the Executive Committee of Montgomery County Development Corporation. The Montgomery County Development Corporation (MCDC) was founded to promote the growth of business, industry and civic welfare in Montgomery County and to facilitate the exchange of information between and among businesses, industry and the governmental institutions.

“We are delighted to welcome David Dormont to the Executive Committee,” said Brian Regli, Board Chair of the MCDC. “His business acumen, intellectual rigor, and collaborative approach will be instrumental in helping the MCDC achieve its goals with local businesses and partnerships.”

For more than 20 years, Dormont has focused his practice on complex commercial litigation and bankruptcy-related litigation, representing a diverse range of clients from individuals and unions to Fortune 500 companies in complex commercial disputes. He has handled more than 200 matters in federal and state courts and before arbitration panels in a variety of jurisdictions.

“I feel strongly about the MCDC’s mission and I’m honored to continue to serve on the Board alongside fellow members of the Executive Committee,” said Dormont.

Dormont graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in mathematics education. He graduated, magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1992, where he served as associate editor of the Minnesota Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. Dormont resides with his family in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania and has been an active board member of the MCDC for several years.
