Montgomery McCracken Welcomes Law Students Ernest D. Holtzheimer and Robert Ransom, Jr. As Summer Associates in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA–Montgomery McCracken is pleased to announce that Ernest D. Holtzheimer and Robert Ransom, Jr., have joined the firm as summer associates through the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group (PDLG) Fellows Program. The firm is a founding member of the PDLG, and supports the organization’s commitment “to fostering participation of a more diverse group of lawyers in the Greater Philadelphia Region in order to make our legal profession stronger, more productive and better equipped to address the challenges of the 21st century.” The program is coordinated by partner Karen Ibach as part of her role on the firm’s Diversity Committee.

Holtzheimer recently completed his first year as a law student at Drexel University School of Law, concentrating on business and entrepreneurial law. He graduated from Rowan University in 2012 with a BS in Business Management and Entrepreneurship, and a Masters in Business Administration in 2013. Additionally, Ernest is serving as a summer legal extern in the Office of General Counsel of Rowan University. He also serves as marketing coordinator for Rowan University College of Graduate & Continuing Education; due diligence fellow for Keiretsu Forum; and as director of the South Jersey Technology Park at Rowan University, where he previously served on the Intellectual Property and Marketing Director committees. Ernest volunteers for various nonprofit organizations including BeFit4Lifer and Cradles to Crayons.

Robert recently completed his first year as a law student at the Rutgers University School of Law in Camden, where he serves as president of the Black Law Students Association and as a member of the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial team. He graduated from Howard University, in Washington, D.C., with a BA in Political Science and a concentration in Public Policy and Community Development. Prior to beginning at the firm, Robert served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Judge Eduardo Robreno of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. While at Howard University, he served as an intern with real estate development firm Dantes Partners in Washington, D.C. Additionally, he coordinated and instructed a GED program at the True Fellowship Church of Philadelphia and previously served as a field technician for the New Jersey State Department of Agriculture’s Child Nutrition Division.
