Partner David S. Blum Elected Chair of St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children Board of Governors

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Montgomery McCracken is pleased to announce that partner David S. Blum has been elected as chair of the Board of Governors of St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. St. Christopher’s Hospital has been a leader in pediatric care since 1875. The hospital’s nationally recognized programs and pediatric specialists provide exceptional care to children from throughout the Greater Philadelphia area and around the world.

Montgomery McCracken has a long-standing history of supporting community and mission oriented endeavors and Blum’s appointment continues an important legacy of the firm. Former Montgomery McCracken chairs Stephen A. Madva and Ralph W. Brenner have both served as chair of the Board of Governors of St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. Blum served as a member of the Board of Governors of St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children for the past three years before becoming chair.

Blum is a partner and co-chair of Montgomery McCracken’s Real Estate practice group. In his practice, Blum represents property owners, developers, investors and financial institutions in acquisition and sales transactions, debt and equity financing, leasing and other matters involving ownership, financing development and management of multifamily, commercial and retail projects. Blum also advises clients on the creation of corporations, partnerships and other business enterprises.  Outside of his practice, Blum has served on board leadership positions in several organizations including The Walnut Street Theatre, Avenue of the Arts, Inc., Philadelphia Art Alliance, Action AIDS, Inc., and St. Peter’s School. In addition, he has taught at Temple University Beasley School of Law and Temple University’s Real Estate Institute. Blum received his J.D. from Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley and his B.S. from Georgetown University.
