James McLaughlin serves as of counsel in Montgomery McCracken’s Business Department. With a proven record of leading negotiations, James has handled a wide array of contracts involving primarily international pharmaceutical and biotech commercial operations, supply chains, and manufacturing. He has been a trusted legal partner to senior leadership teams and government relations groups, playing a key role in addressing regional and country-specific regulatory challenges and advancing corporate goals.
Prior to joining Montgomery McCracken, James served as Senior and Chief Counsel at a Fortune 100 company, where he gained global experience spanning commercial operations and manufacturing. He brings extensive corporate legal experience from a range of multinational corporations, where he advised on complex commercial transactions across the life sciences, technology, and financial sectors.
James received his B.A. from Yale University and received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. He was a Fulbright Fellow at Universidad de Buenos Aires and received his Special International Law Diploma. Additionally, he studied at Cambridge University in their Legal Studies Program.
