Micah Mahdi is an associate in Montgomery McCracken’s Business Department. Micah’s practice lives at the intersection of estate planning, strategic corporate transactions, and complex tax considerations. She understands that for many clients, wealth is not just a number on a balance sheet; it represents the story of their life’s work and the people they love.
Micah supports closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals on tax and trusts-and-estates matters, drafting complex planning instruments, navigating valuation and transfer tax issues, and designing strategies to preserve and transition multi-generational wealth. Her practice also encompasses advising businesses on tax strategy and supporting commercial real estate and corporate transactions, where each is structured to achieve immediate ownership-transition goals or long-term corporate objectives.
Micah began her career in M&A and commercial real estate, managing corporate acquisitions and reorganizations for middle-market business owners as well as commercial real estate acquisitions, development, and leasing for both for-profit and non-profit organizations. She went on to handle corporate acquisitions and spin-offs for large private-equity firms and publicly traded companies before obtaining her LL.M. in Taxation from Temple University Beasley School of Law and transitioning into the tax space. This foundation gave her a panoramic perspective on her clients’ worlds, allowing her the ability to anticipate how business operations, tax strategy, and personal legacy intersect and to help make decisions that honor all three.
Micah graduated from the University of North Texas with a business degree in economics. She earned her law degree, with honors, from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where she was a member of the Oklahoma Law Review and the Order of the Coif.
