Issues in International Maritime Bankruptcy

Montgomery McCracken Of Counsel Wook Chung was a speaker at the Association of Transportation Law Professionals 88th Annual Meeting. Wook presented on “Issues in International Maritime Bankruptcy.” The panel examined legal issues that arise in an international bankruptcy proceeding, and how such a proceeding differs from a purely domestic bankruptcy. In addition, the panel covered unique legal issues that arise as a result of the interaction of bankruptcy and maritime laws. The panel discussed these issues using the Hanjin Shipping Company bankruptcy as an illustrative example.
