Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers 2021 White Collar Practice Seminar

Stephanie K. Benecchi will be a panelist during the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers 2021 White Collar Practice Seminar session titled, “Tip of the Iceberg: PPP Loan Fraud and What Lies Beneath the Surface.”

This interactive panel discussion will focus on the Paycheck Protection Program, including the billions of dollars in loans distributed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic in anticipation of forgiveness by the federal government. Panelists will discuss the Small Business Administration’s and issuing banks’ reviewal of forgiveness applications, the expected increase in enforcement looming beyond the horizon, and the agencies and statutes that may be involved in holding fraudsters accountable.
