The Future of Shopping Center Leases

Michael J. Fekete will be a speaker at the New Jersey Bar Association’s webinar titled, “The Future of Shopping Center Leases” on Wednesday, July 28th from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm ET.
The webinar, which will qualify for CLE credit, will examine how the COVID-19 Pandemic has affected the shopping center industry. Additionally, speakers will discuss how commercial landlords, owners, and property managers have grappled with rent deferrals and abatements, retail tenant bankruptcies, and eviction and collection efforts, while also adjusting leases to allow curbside pick-up, warehousing, and delivery. Speakers will also discuss enforcement efforts, legislative efforts, lease amendments to adjust to the new normal, practical tips, opportunities created, as well as what’s ahead for shopping centers in New Jersey.
