The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce presents “State of the Region: Leaders in Energy”

The program will feature a keynote presentation from Daniel A. D’Aniello, Chairman and Co-Founder of The Carlyle Group. Founded in 1987 in Washington, DC, Carlyle has grown into one of the world’s largest and most successful private equity investment firms, with more than 1,450 professionals operating in 34 offices in North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, Japan, Asia and Australia.

Mr. D’Aniello will discuss The Carlyle Group’s extensive portfolio of investments in Pennsylvania in general, their investment in Philadelphia Energy Solutions, and he will touch on the impact of the Marcellus Shale natural gas reserves on the nation’s energy revolution.

A panel of energy leaders will then expand on the region’s energy strengths, their impact on chemical manufacturing, the need for a pipeline to compete in a global gas market, and what a mixed energy policy means for our future.

In addition, Select Greater Philadelphia will release its ninth annual Regional Report, which identifies key achievements from the region’s business leaders and the energy related projects that make Greater Philadelphia a world-class business region and a budding energy hub.
