Jeremy D. Mishkin, a partner with Montgomery McCracken was a faculty member and presenter at the American Conference’s Institute 4th National Forum on Chemical Products Liability & Environmental Litigation.  Mishkin discussed avoiding securities fraud claims in products liability litigation by meeting SEC disclosure requirements, and some key practical steps that companies should take to be sure they stay in compliance.  For example, with the SEC’s recent announcement that it is looking at social media, it’s even more important for a prudent company to actively manage its communications.

Mishkin is the chairman of Montgomery McCracken’s Litigation Department.  His practice, which is national in scope, focuses on First Amendment/media law issues, technology, the Internet and complex commercial matters.  He speaks on a variety of Internet and social media-related topics, privacy online, defamation, and censorship.
