    Montgomery McCracken partner Melanie A. Leney was named to Philadelphia Business Journal‘s special feature “25 Young Lawyers on the Rise.”

    A first-year partner in the firm’s maritime and transportation practice group who focuses her practice on commercial litigation, Leney was an integral team member in the high-profile Athos I oil spill litigation when the firm won a $71.5 million judgment against Citgo Asphalt Refining Co. in September 2016. The firm represented Frescati Shipping Co. Ltd. and Tsakos Shipping & Trading SA, the Greek owners and operators of the M/V Athos I, a tanker chartered by Citgo. Leney is also on the board of trustees for the Alice Paul Institute.
