Philadelphia, PA_January 11, 2012 – Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, LLP attorney, Morton “Mickey” J. Simon, Jr., has been elected to serve as president of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey Regional Office. The two-year term was effective on January 1, 2012. Simon also serves as a member of the Council of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Philadelphia.
Established in 1906 to protect all minorities, AJC is an international think tank and advocacy organization whose mission is to combat all forms of bigotry, promote pluralism and shared democratic values, support the quest for peace and security in Israel, advocate energy independence and strengthen the quality of Jewish life.
