Alexandra S. Jacobs is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department. She has broad experience in a range of areas including transportation law, UM/UIM insurance defense, e-discovery, education law, class action and multidistrict litigation. Alex has handled civil and criminal matters involving Section 1983, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act.

Prior to joining Montgomery McCracken, Alex served as a federal law clerk for the Honorable Noel L. Hillman and as a magistrate law clerk for the Honorable Joel Schneider of the U.S. District Court.

While in law school, Alex was a law clerk at a Philadelphia law firm. As a law clerk, she researched and drafted briefs on personal injury, copyright infringement, asbestos defense, insurance regulations, and trusts and estates.

Alex also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Robert B. Kugler of the U.S. District Court.

Academic Achievements

Alex received a J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden in 2014. She was the Editor-in-Chief of the Rutgers Law Journal (law review) and a member of the Children’s Justice Clinic and the Pro Bono Mediation Project. She was also on the Dean’s list and received the Class of 1992 graduation award for leadership.

She earned a B.A. degree, cum laude, from American University, School of Public Affairs, where she majored in Communications, Law, Economics, and Government. She received certificates in Women in Politics and Lobbying Advocacy. Alex was also an Isabelle A. Clark Public Interest Scholar.
