Layal Issa Ramirez

Layal Issa Ramirez is an associate in Montgomery McCracken’s Litigation Department. She concentrates her practice on complex litigation matters across a variety of industries, with particular emphasis on consumer protection and employment cases. Layal has experience representing clients at all stages of litigation in state and federal courts. This includes representing employers in cases involving allegations of retaliation, harassment, or discrimination under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and representing companies in cases involving Fair Credit Reporting Act claims or state law claims. Layal also regularly conducts internal employment-related investigations and prepares employment contracts and policies.

Layal earned her J.D. with a certificate in trial advocacy and litigation from Temple University Beasley School of Law with cum laude honors. While in law school, she studied international law abroad at Temple Law’s Tokyo, Japan campus and competed in The Hague, Netherlands as a member of Temple Law’s International Criminal Court Moot Court Team. She also served as an editor for the Temple International and Comparative Law Journal.

Prior to law school, Layal recieved her B.A., summa cum laude  from Montclair State University where she was a member and  captain of the Women’s Lacrosse team.
