25th Annual This Year In Nonprofit Law
December 7, 2015
Nonprofit Issues® and the Philadelphia law firm of
Montgomery McCracken will present the 25th annual “This Year in
Nonprofit Law” on Monday, December 7, 2015.
Pedro A. Ramos , the newly-minted President and CEO of The
Philadelphia Foundation, will provide the keynote talk on “A 360-degree
View of Nonprofit Leadership.” Mr. Ramos has served as a director on
several prominent nonprofit boards, as a nonprofit volunteer, as City
Solicitor and Managing Director of City of Philadelphia, and as Chair of
the Philadelphia School Board and School Reform Commission. He has
been scanning the philanthropic scene both nationally and locally as he
starts his new position. From these multiple perspectives he will
provide his observations on the role of nonprofit leaders and nonprofit
organizations in getting things done in the community.
The program will provide 5 hours of continuing legal education credit
for Pennsylvania lawyers, including an hour of ethics credit for those
attending the ethics session, and 5 hours of CPE for Pennsylvania
accountants.
