Montgomery McCracken is pleased to announce that Jessica M. Rizzo has been appointed to the Board of Advisors for Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts, a nonpartisan nonprofit that, “envisions a Pennsylvania judicial system in which everyone who participates is assured impartiality, fairness, accessibility and respect”.
Jessica M. Rizzo is an attorney in Montgomery McCracken’s Litigation Department. She specializes in antitrust law. Her writing on law, technology, and the arts regularly appears in publications including Wired, the Los Angeles Review of Books, and various scholarly journals. Jessica received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, her M.F.A. and D.F.A. from Yale School of Drama, and her B.A. from Bryn Mawr College.

Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts works to educate all Pennsylvanians about courts and how to navigate them with confidence, they provide resources to make that possible for all residents of the Commonwealth, and they advocate for judicial reforms that promote inclusion and access to justice. Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts engage in a wide variety of initiatives to accomplish these goals and are constantly developing new programming based on community feedback.
Motivated by a 1988 report highlighting low public confidence in the judiciary, Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts was founded to address concerns over the election of judges and associated fundraising. The organization was established as a non-profit, non-partisan entity to advocate for judicial reform, with a particular focus on the merit selection of appellate judges. Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts continues to push for judicial reforms and serves as an advocate for equal access to justice.
