Montgomery McCracken is pleased to announce that associate Jessica M. Rizzo has been elected to the Board of Directors for Philadelphia’s Wilma Theater. The Wilma’s mission is to create “living, adventurous art,” “engage artists and audiences in imaginative reflection on the complexities of contemporary life,” and “present bold, original, well-crafted productions that represent a range of voices, viewpoints, and styles.”

Jessica M. Rizzo is an associate in Montgomery McCracken’s Litigation Department. Her practice spans antitrust, white collar, intellectual property, labor and employment, and constitutional law issues. Whether representing a multinational company accused of monopolization, an individual CEO confronting fraud charges, or an ordinary teenage girl facing trouble at school, Jessica is a tenacious advocate and empathetic counselor.

Jessica’s work with high-profile clients has given her an appreciation for holistic representation—a legal crisis often requires a thoughtful media strategy in addition to a legal response. Jessica is comfortable crafting such strategies in collaboration with her clients and, where appropriate, dedicated communications professionals.

Fascinated by the ways in which the law evolves (or fails to evolve) to accommodate innovation, Jessica particularly enjoys working with clients hailing from the tech industry. Jessica regularly shares her insights on cutting-edge developments in law, technology, and the arts as a contributor to Wired, the Los Angeles Review of Books, and various scholarly publications. She is also a member of metaLAB’s Digital Access Research Project at Harvard University’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society.

Jessica recognizes the importance of access to justice and maintains a robust pro bono practice assisting low-income individuals and non-profit organizations with child custody, domestic violence, divorce, labor, quiet title, and landlord-tenant issues.

Jessica received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, her M.F.A. and D.F.A. from Yale School of Drama, and her B.A. from Bryn Mawr College.
