Welcome to our annual New Partners Yearbook. This magazine is devoted to partners, including lateral partners, made or hired at New Jersey firms from February 2021 through January 2022.
This 2022 yearbook includes 153 partners—a significant increase over the last two years when the yearbook included only 116 and 117 partners. Could that be because law firms felt more settled into the COVID-19 era in 2021 than they did in the prior year? Did more significant office returns play a role? What about the unprecedented level of lateral hiring? Did the impressive earnings and profits by many law firms factor into this increase? We haven’t put these specific questions to law firm leaders yet, but we’d love to get those insights.
