Montgomery McCracken Director of Library Services Appointed Local Arrangements Committee Co-Chair for American Association of Law Libraries’ 108th Annual Meeting

PHILADELPHIA–Montgomery McCracken is pleased to announce that Kathleen Coon, director of the firm’s Library Services department, has been appointed to serve as the Local Arrangements Committee co-chair for the American Association of Law Libraries’ (AALL) 108th Annual Meeting. In her role as co-chair, Coon will work to manage the local logistics and event planning for the event. The 108th Annual Meeting and Conference, an educational event for legal information professionals which draws more than 3,000 AALL member librarians, vendors and other industry members, is scheduled to take place July 18 – 25, 2015, in Philadelphia.
As the director of Library Services at Montgomery McCracken, Coon is responsible for research support, firmwide training and the promotion of cost effective research tools. She has been teaching research skills and techniques to attorneys and paralegals for more than 20 years. She served as the project manager of an award winning research website and has worked in a variety of legal research positions in both public and private organizations. Coon holds a master’s degree in Library and Information Systems from Drexel University and a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University.
