Montgomery McCracken’s Evelyn McConathy Appointed as AIPLA Fellow

Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, LLP partner and Intellectual Property practice group chair, Evelyn McConathy has been appointed by the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) as one of the organization’s newest Fellows.  McConathy has long served AIPLA and has held several positions with organization.  In 2010 she was recognized for her outstanding service to AIPLA, particularly regarding her work with that year’s World Intellectual Property Day.  McConathy also chairs the Public Education Committee which advocates intellectual property rights.

The AIPLA is a national bar association comprised of approximately 16,000 members, including individuals, companies, and institutions involved in various law practices related to intellectual property. Members represent owners as well as consumers of intellectually property – all of which are dedicated to maintaining a robust and efficient intellectual property system.

McConathy has extensive experience in patent litigation, prosecution, and counseling for patent, trademark and copyright matters. Her representative clients include the University of Pennsylvania, CorCell, and the National Constitution Center. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, District of Columbia, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. District Courts, including the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, as well as the Patent Bar.
