Let’s Get Ethical! Navigating the Ethical Issues Associated with Internal Investigations

Montgomery McCracken attorneys William K. Kennedy and Renee Nunley Smith will be speaking at the Association of Corporate Counsel’s 10th Annual In-House Counsel Conference on April 25, 2018. They will be speaking from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the program “Let’s Get Ethical! Navigating the Ethical Issues Associated with Internal Investigations.” Angela Curry, Compliance Director at Bentley Systems and Alexandra Bak-Boychuk, Director of Employee Relations & Compliance at Airgas will also be speaking on this program.

The panel will discuss issues and best practices involving confidentiality, attorney-client privilege, appropriate warnings and notices to employees, and employee representatives in investigatory meetings. In addition, they will discuss factors to consider when deciding whether an investigator should be a non-lawyer, an in-house attorney, or outside counsel.
