Governing Board for America’s Oldest Swedish Historical Museum Elects New Chair

Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, LLP partner Leonard A. Busby has been elected to serve as Chair of the Board of Governors of the American Swedish Historical Museum. Founded in 1926 and dedicated to preserving and promoting Swedish and Swedish-American culture, heritage and traditions, it is the oldest Swedish Museum in the United States. The ASHM’s collections and exhibitions range from the age of the Vikings to contemporary Swedish art and design. The museum’s regular programs and events include language and cooking classes, traditional Swedish holiday celebrations such as Santa Lucia and Midsommar, as well as genealogy workshops, lectures and children’s programs.
Busby’s practice emphasizes complex commercial litigation, personal injury litigation, injunction practice, and appellate matters. He serves as Chair of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee and as a member of its Professional Responsibility Committee.
