Montgomery McCracken is pleased to announce that Michael J. Fekete, Partner, has been appointed to the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Legal Advisory Council, where he will serve a three-year term beginning in 2026.
The ICSC Legal Advisory Council is a nationally recognized body of distinguished attorneys, drawn from leading law firms, in-house legal departments, and the public sector, who provide strategic counsel to ICSC on the most pressing legal and policy issues facing the shopping center and retail real estate industry.

Fekete is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, where he represents publicly traded REITs, national developers, commercial landlords, and court-appointed receivers in high-stakes real estate matters across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. His practice spans the full lifecycle of commercial real estate, from lease drafting and negotiation, to acquisition and disposition, to complex commercial tenancy disputes.
He also maintains an active land use practice, regularly appearing before municipal Zoning and Planning Boards throughout New Jersey on behalf of developers and property owners navigating the entitlement process.
Fekete’s appointment to the Legal Advisory Council underscores Montgomery McCracken’s continued investment in thought leadership and client service at the intersection of litigation and commercial real estate.
