Montgomery McCracken Elects Two New Partners

Montgomery McCracken is pleased to announce that Wook Chung and John J. Powell have been elected to the firm’s partnership. Chung, located in the firm’s New York office, was previously of counsel. Powell, located in the firm’s Philadelphia office, was an associate.

Chung is a member of the firm’s Business Department. He serves as an outside general counsel to many corporate clients, from start-ups to multinational companies. He focuses his practice on commercial transactions, contract negotiations, and general employment law – providing counseling on commercial litigation and risk management of the various aspects of the clients’ business operations, including shipping and logistics. He has extensive experience handling regulatory and compliance issues involving the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT), Office of Foreign Assets Control, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the Shipping Act, and Proposition 65 issues. He also advises clients on class action disputes, antitrust matters, and products liability litigation.

Powell is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department. He handles a wide variety of complex litigation, including high-stakes commercial disputes, intellectual property, white-collar criminal, securities, and antitrust matters in federal and state courts around the country and in international arbitration.
