Partner Louis R. Moffa, Jr. Elected Chairman of the American Red Cross Southwestern New Jersey Chapter

NEW JERSEY — Montgomery McCracken is pleased to announce partner Louis R. Moffa, Jr. has been elected as chairman of the Board of the American Red Cross Southwestern New Jersey Chapter. The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. The Southwestern NJ Chapter, located in Pennsauken, NJ, serves a population of 1.2 million people in Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties. Lou is slated to serve a two-year term.
“I am extremely proud of the work that the Southwestern New Jersey Chapter does for this community,” said Moffa. “I am excited to serve in this new capacity and I look forward to continuing to help the chapter drive its mission, and navigate through challenges and new opportunities.”
Lou serves as Montgomery McCracken’s general counsel and is a member of several practice groups. He has more than 35 years of experience and is an accomplished trial and appellate litigator who has handled matters in state and federal courts across the country.
He is active in the legal community and has held leadership positions in multiple organizations. Lou is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, District of Columbia Bar Association, and Camden County Bar Association. He is an adjunct professor at Rutgers School of Law-Camden and at the University of Delaware in the Lerner School of Business and Economics. Lou serves as a trustee and vice chairman of the board for the Camden County College Foundation.
Lou received a J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center in 1982 where he was an editor of Law and Policy in International Business, the Georgetown International Law Journal. He graduated from Georgetown University with a B.S.B.A., magna cum laude, in 1979.
