Ethan Hougah is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department, where he concentrates his practice on complex commercial litigation.  Ethan regularly represents domestic and foreign companies in products liability, maritime, and a wide variety of commercial disputes pending in federal and state courts.  Ethan also represents private individuals and entities in white collar and government investigations, as well as fiduciary litigation.

In addition to his work on commercial litigation and white collar matters, Ethan has significant insurance coverage litigation experience representing both carriers and policyholders.  Ethan has acted as coverage and litigation counsel to carriers in multi-million dollar disputes involving D&O, E&O and financial lines insurance policies, and has represented policyholders and third-party beneficiaries in coverage disputes arising out of catastrophic injuries.

Before joining Montgomery McCracken, Ethan worked as an associate at a major New Jersey law firm.  Prior to entering private practice, Ethan served as a law clerk to the Hon. Karen M. Williams and the Hon. Steven C. Mannion in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Ethan received his juris doctor from Boston College Law School and graduated with honors from Rutgers University.  During law school, Ethan worked as a student attorney representing indigent clients before the Massachusetts Superior Court.  While working as a student attorney, Ethan successfully obtained judgments, settlements, and civil arrest warrants on behalf of his clients in landlord-tenant and child support actions.
