Ross A. Fox is a partner in Montgomery McCracken’s Litigation Department, where he represents clients in complex commercial disputes in the areas of construction, real estate, manufacturing, and franchise disputes. He advises clients at every stage of conflict, from risk mitigation and pre-litigation strategy through trial and resolution, bringing a practical, results-driven approach to high-stakes matters.

Ross routinely navigates critical and sensitive issues for clients such as partnership disputes, enforcement of restrictive covenants, bid-protests, and franchisor-franchisee conflicts. Ross provides strategic, business-oriented advice and counseling across a wide range of legal and operational issues. His dual perspective as both litigator and counselor enables him to develop and implement holistic strategies that align legal solutions with his clients’ broader business objectives.

Clients value Ross for his versatility, responsiveness, and ability to distill complex issues into clear, actionable guidance. Whether in the courtroom or at the negotiating table, he is focused on achieving efficient, favorable outcomes.

Prior to joining Montgomery McCracken, Ross practiced at regional law firms where he built a strong record as a trial lawyer. He has first-chaired bench trials, arbitrations, and mediated several high-stakes commercial disputes. He began his legal career as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Carolyn A. Murray, J.S.C. (ret.), gaining invaluable insight into judicial decision-making and courtroom strategy.

Ross earned his J.D. from Cornell Law School, with a concentration in Business Law and Regulation, and his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Montclair State University.
