27th Annual This Year in Nonprofit Law

November 30, 2017 @ 8:30 am - 3:45 pm

Nonprofit Issues® and the Philadelphia law firm of Montgomery McCracken will present the 27th annual “This Year in Nonprofit Law” on Thursday, November 30, 2017.

When philanthropist Gerry Lenfest gave the Philadelphia Inquirer to The Philadelphia Foundation in 2016, he also set up a new nonprofit organization to help save investigative journalism in America.  The Lenfest Institute for Journalism has been at work for a little more than a year and Jim Friedlich, its Executive Director and CEO, will join us to report on the status of journalism in the country and the work of the Institute in seeking to preserve it.

The day qualifies for 5 hours of continuing legal education credit, including an hour of ethics credit for those attending the ethics session, and 5 hours continuing professional education credit in Pennsylvania.  Lawyers wishing CLE credit in other states will be given a certificate of attendance at a Pennsylvania-approved program.  Credits will be provided at no extra charge.

Participants will receive a new or renewed one-year subscription to Nonprofit Issues®, plus program materials. The registration fee is $165, but additional registrants from the same organization may attend for $100. Unlike previous years, there is no separate charge for CLE or CPE credit.

Lunch and program materials will be provided.

CLE Information:
PA lawyers can receive up to 5 credits for participating in the program. A one-hour ethics program is available.

CPE Information:
PA accountants can receive up to 5 credits for participating in the program.
